Prime Day art supply deals - Man holding a package with the words "Prime Day Art Supply Deals"

Updated on 02/08/24 4:01 PM PST

If you’re anything like me, you were hoping to find some insights into what Amazon Prime Day deals on art supplies will be available for artists like myself, but ended up being shown expensive TV’s, security systems and… doorbells? Really? I thought artists would be looking for a new mechanical pencil to try or maybe some acrylic paints (Yeah, I’m talking to you, ArtNews.com. I’m not mad. Just… disappointed).

Prime Day is here, and it’s going on from October 10th at 3 a.m. EST and ending on October 11th at 11:59pm PST. As an artist, this is a great time to get some awesome deals on art supplies I’ve been holding off on.

Remember though, in order to get access to Prime Day deals, you need to be an Amazon Prime member. Prime Day is just one of the many benefits of Amazon Prime, and it’s very easy to get your money’s worth if you’re an avid Amazon shopper.

Prime Day Deals for Digital Artists

I’m fairly new to the digital art realm, but it’s a huge market and there is a phenomenal deal going on for visual artists you might be interested in:

Illustration Software Deals

Everyone is a fan of free, but free doesn’t always cut it if you’re looking for the best. While I’m partial to Krita (free illustration software), it has its limitations. If you can afford it, this is the best illustration software deal on Prime Day:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud | 12-Month Access $599.88 $357.99
    • 12 months of Adobe Creative Cloud for 12 months at 40% off??? That’s a STEAL. This includes over 20 Adobe apps, including Photoshop. If you can afford it, this is definitely a deal you don’t want to pass up. Photoshop is rated by most as THE software for digital artists.

I actually didn’t see any other illustration software available with the Prime Day filter on in Amazon. But that’s ok! Because if you can afford the above, that’s all you need! And if you you’re looking for free, Krita is my recommendation!

Drawing Tablet Deals

What’s a digital artist without a drawing tablet? Well, actually, you can technically still draw with a mouse, but these will make it much easier!

  • 23.8″ XPPen Artist24 Drawing Tablet: $569.99 $455.59
    • “Holy smokes man, I thought you were a starving artist??” I am… (weeps) I don’t have this, but I wish I did, and this is the best Prime Day deal (good grief, what a mouthful) I could find on Amazon for a drawing tablet! While I don’t personally have one, I would love to have a drawing tablet like this as opposed to one without a screen (I have the Medium Wacom One, which is on sale for $77.45, but not a Prime Deal).
  • Huion KAMVAS 20 Drawing Tablet $399.00 $295.20
    • I know, I know, this is another wicked expensive one for us starving artists. But I wanted to include another top-notch option for those of you that are looking for something just a tad less expensive that the first. This has an unbeatable 4.6-stars on Amazon and over 1,500 reviews. Personally, I prefer the Wacom brand, but this is a massive 19.5-inch drawing tablet with excellent reviews. I had to add it to the list.
  • One by Wacom (Medium) $99.95 $77.45 (Not a Prime deal, but this is what I use!)
    • “Wow, you really ARE a starving artist…” Yeah… But it’s probably more accurate to say that I’m very particular about where I spend money. Or, as some like to say it: A cheapskate. Haha. But this tablet works EXCELLENT for the price, and I totally recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable option for starting digital art.
  • HUION Inspiroy H1060P $66.99 $42.99
    • While I don’t have any personal experience with this tablet, it has a decent rating (4.5 stars) with over 4,400 reviews on Amazon. It’s one of the least expensive drawing tablet deals that I could find during the Prime Day sale.

Prime Day Deals for Traditional Artists

Traditional art is my JAM. I have a whole box of traditional art supplies, and I probably haven’t even used half of them, haha. But I’m glad to have it! Traditional art will always be my go-to. It’s where I started and where I spent most of my learning.
