To me, there’s nothing better than a quality L-shaped art desk with plenty of space for my art supplies, monitors, and PC. Picking one, however, can be maddening.
I couldn’t even find a good article on Google recommending some of the top corner art desks to help me (The AUDACITY), so I had to do my own research. And once I did, I thought, “Hey, why don’t I write an article for artists that might already know they want an L-shaped desk?” So, here we are!
Aight, let’s cut the introductions and get straight to it. Here are (in my opinion) the best L-shaped desks for artists:
Quick Note: Previously, on this page, I had recommended L-desks that included a built-in drafting table. Unfortunately, those tables are no longer available. So, I’ve made new selections based on large surfaces for creating, storage space, and flexibility, which are all practical qualities I look for in an L-Desk.
| Rank | Model | Standing | Storage | Price |
| 1 | SEDETA L-Shaped Standing Desk with Storage | Yes | Excellent | $389.99 |
| 2 | SEDETA L-Shaped Farmhouse Standing Desk | Yes | Excellent | $399.99 |
| 3 | SEDETA L-Shaped 63″ Convertible Desk | No | Good | $299.98 |
The Best L-Shaped Art Desks
Not enough info on the L-shaped art desks in the summary table? Totally understandable. Let’s dig a little deeper into things like dimensions, building materials, user reviews, and how many kids can jump on it simultaneously before it breaks… Ok, maybe not that last one.
1 – SEDETA L-Shaped Standing Desk with Excellent Storage
This corner art desk is my top pick, though I do wish there were a drafting table attached. But the storage on this desk is just next-level.
Speaking of “next level,” this is one of the few desks I’ve found where the entire “L” top can rise when you want to stand as you work. Most desks only rise on one side, which can make half your workspace less accessible.
And if you don’t think you need to stand while working, I kindly (but firmly) disagree. Having a standing desk has been a game-changer.

- Alloy steel (Standing Portions)
- Engineered Wood

There’s a LOT of dimensions to cover, and explaining them with just text would be making things unnecessarily complicated, so here’s an image with all the dimensions laid out:

The biggest reason this made the top of the list for me is due to the significant storage space, since I primarily focus on traditional art, and having that storage would be beneficial to me. But even if you’re a digital artist, I’m sure you could find a way to utilize this storage.
The desk has a solid 4.6-star rating, but only 3 reviews as of this writing. A low number of reviews is a slight red flag for me, but not a deal-breaker. Especially considering the other highlights. The desk is made with a base of alloy steel, and the desktop is made from engineered wood that is available in oak or black.
Reviews agree that this is much sturdier than they would have expected, given the price. So, I’d say at least two kids could jump on this before it breaks (please don’t test that).
2 – SEDETA Farmhouse L-Shaped Standing Desk
Coming in at number two is the SEDETA Farmhouse L-Shaped Standing Desk. This one has slightly less storage and only one side of the desk rises when shifting to standing. For that reason, it was knocked down to #2.
- Price
- $399.99
- User Reviews
- 4.1-star average with 30+ ratings

- Alloy steel base
- Engineered wood desktop

As with the first desk, I’ll just post a diagram with all the measurements laid out.

As you can see in the measurements, you’re losing a bit of writing space here compared to the top choice, with only 19.7″ depth on the desktop vs the top pick’s 21.7.” Sure, that’s not an insane difference, but every inch counts when it comes to space for drawing or painting.
This corner art desk is still a solid option, and I love the extra space underneath it has for storage, which can still be supplemented if you choose to do so. The user reviews are slightly lower on this one due to some customers experiencing some assembly confusion.
As for how many kids could jump on it before something goes wrong… probably fewer than the first desk. I’d say one energetic child would already be pushing it. (But seriously, don’t actually test this)

3 – SEDETA 63″ Convertible L-Shaped Desk
I’m honestly kind of sad to put this in third place, because it’s an awesome desk. It isn’t a standing desk, which has its pros and cons. Standing desks are notoriously heavy, and you’ll note that this one is a good bit lighter.
- Price
- $299.98
- User Reviews
- 4.2-star average with 159+ ratings
- Building Materials
- Alloy steel base
- Engineered Wood
- Weight
- 125.7 Pounds

While this desk doesn’t have nearly the same amount of built-in storage, it does have the best depth of all three desks. At 23.6″ and the ability to convert this from an artist’s L-Desk to a straight shot, beautiful, uninterrupted surface, it’s still an excellent option for both digital and traditional artists.
If you tend to prefer working seated and keep your supplies nearby in drawers, carts, or separate storage units, then this desk can work really well as a clean and flexible workspace.
Why I Prefer an L-Shaped Art Desk
Why? WHY? I’ll tell you why and break it down into a list because we all know you’re just skimming this article and not actually reading the whole thing. Who has time to read entire articles on the internet about L-shaped art desks? Not me!
- More Desktop Space Within Reach
- If you had 100” of desk space stretched straight across, you’d need to get up to grab any art supplies on the far ends of the desk. With a corner art desk, everything stays within reach.
- Perfect for Small Offices or Studios
- Some might disagree with this one, but I think L-shaped desks make excellent use of space. Rooms are squares, and when you have a desk that fits perfectly into a corner, you’re utilizing that space efficiently
- Perfect for Digital Artists and Influencers
- Many digital artists and influencers rely on their computers to make their artwork. This means in addition to any traditional art supplies, you also have a drawing tablet, monitors, a desktop computer, and a mess of cords to deal with. All of that can eat up precious real estate on your desk, which makes L-desks a perfect solution for artists.
I’m sure I could list other reasons, but those are by far the biggest ones. If you’re not a fan of the ones I listed here, you can view more L-shaped Art Desk options on Amazon. I always recommend looking at user reviews. As a rule of thumb, I personally don’t buy anything less than 4 stars unless I get a specific recommendation from someone I trust.
